Breakfast with Goofy & Pals at the Four Seasons

Hope everyone had a nice Labor Day weekend. I’m still shaking my head in disbelief as to how great the weekend was for G&O. Not only because we went to Disney to see all the princesses (they’re obsessed) but what a great find I discovered in tourist trap-haven Orlando.

I’ve always heard from Disney-obsessed friends about how doing a character dining at the parks with your little ones is a must. I’ve also heard from those same friends how you need to call 6 to 12 months in advance in order to secure a reservation. That’s insane! My next thought was “wait, so I have to pay an exorbitant amount of money to eat crappy food but have a few Disney characters come by my table and take a few pics with my daughters?”, yeah, that doesn’t sound like money well spent.

I heard about the Four Seasons Resort Orlando having a ‘Disney Character Breakfast’ and when I dug deeper into cost value analysis and location, I called the Four Seasons on-site dining reservation line asking for a reservation a month out, on a Saturday, over Labor Day weekend.

Expecting to get a snarky laugh from the girl on the other end of the phone, I instead got a “what time do you have in mind?” and the next words out of her mouth had me in complete and utter shock….”Ok Mr. Ruiz you are reserved for the character dining breakfast at 9am on Saturday, September 3rd”.

So wait, that’s it? No “I’m sorry sir, it’s a holiday weekend and we have been fully booked for months” response? Nope. Just like that I had a coveted character dining reservation for 4 and all it took was a simple call. I wanted exposure to Mickey and pals for G&O and a decent buffet which the Four Seasons absolutely exceeded.

We spent 1 hour at the breakfast and had Mickey, Minnie and Goofy come by our table and interact with us at least 8 separate times. It almost felt like we had hired them for our own private entertainment. I’ve heard from others that some character dining experiences feel “rushed”. Not this one. On the contrary, DD Mommy and I joked that we should tell the characters they don’t need to keep coming around so often.

The girls were beyond ecstatic each time they interacted with the characters at our table and the buffet had a nice selection of breakfast options ranging from made-to-order omelettes, prosciutto, a wonderful assortment of cheeses and a large variety of breads and pastries.

Parent Tip: If you don’t have plans to visit the parks later that day (or you’re a trooper), the Four Seasons offers a $15 bottomless mimosas deal with your breakfast. Best of all, you’re at the Four Seasons so after breakfast you can take a stroll around the gorgeous private community grounds at and around the hotel.

Prices for the character dining with Goofy and pals:

$46 per adult
$24 per child ages 3 to 12

Pricing includes several digital photos with Goofy & His Pals!

Conclusion: G&O loved the character breakfast experience at the Four Seasons and so did we. After experiencing this, I see no need in having to book an in-park character dining experience as I don’t believe it can compete with the value and experience of the Four Seasons. For more information on character dining at the Four Seasons Orlando, click here. Check out some pictures from our character breakfast.
