Now Is The Best Time To Book Airfare!

It’s no surprise that airfare deals have been uncommonly common lately and that’s because the fall has arrived and airlines know that September and October are usually slow months for air travel. With school back in session and the slower summer months ending for many people at work, travel isn’t on the mind of many until the holidays in November and December. Fuel prices continue to plummet and airlines can justify drop in fares to lure in more passengers since they are paying less on fuel. A mistake would be to not stay on top of deals NOW if you have a certain destinations or trips in mind, before the end of the year.

The past 10 days, I’ve seen the following fares for fall travel:

Fort Lauderdale – Mexico City on JetBlue for $159 Roundtrip

New York – Los Angeles on Virgin America for $159 Roundtrip

Miami – New York on AA for $106 Roundtrip

Boston – Beijing on Delta for $550 Roundtrip

Chicago – Houston on AA for $96 Roundtrip

Miami – Bogota on AA for $236 Roundtrip

New York – San Juan, Puerto Rico on Delta for $251 Roundtrip

Los Angeles – Miami on AA for $197 Roundtrip

As I’ve mentioned before, The Flight Deal and Airfarewatchdog are your best sources to stay up-to-the-minute on flight deals. I use ITA Software and Google Flights for my airfare search and then book directly with the airline. If you see a deal that looks too good to be true, it probably isn’t and you should book it immediately or within a few hours. Deals like the above mentioned don’t last more than a few days and sometimes as little as a couple of minutes, so get booking.
