The World’s Youngest Backpacker?

Yesterday I read an article that Million Mile Secrets posted on Facebook about a 10-week old baby that went backpacking with her parents for 10 months. Here’s the post.

Little Esmé

Little Esmé

The parents took baby Esmé to Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Ireland and Hong Kong. Safe to say, this baby has been to more countries than most people have. Thanks to Europe’s generous maternity leave, proper savings by the parents and a wanderlust philosophy, they made the unthinkable, a reality.

“The overall aim is to inspire like-minded travel loving parents – your travel days do not have to be over. It is all about incorporating your little person into your way of life”, said Esmé’s Mom.

Pretty inspirational quote if you ask me but not sure I would have had the balls guts to take a 10-week old on a 10 month trip around the world. Kudos to those parents though!

What do you think of this story? Crazy? Inspirational? Dumb? I’m curious to hear your comments.
